**General Motors Co.** (**GM**) has agreed to sell the **Hummer** brand to Chinese SUV maker **Great Wall Motor Co.**, the companies said on Monday, as the U.S. automaker continues to shed non-core assets and focus on electric and autonomous vehicles.
The deal, which is expected to close in the first half of 2023, includes the Hummer name, logo, and design patents. Great Wall will pay GM an undisclosed sum for the brand, which has been struggling in recent years as consumers have shifted away from large SUVs.
