**No. 11 Michigan State football now has 10-0 record heading into prime-time matchup against No. 8 Penn State**

**EAST LANSING, Mich.** – Michigan State football is now 10-0 on the season after defeating the Maryland Terrapins 40-21 on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

The Spartans were led by running back Kenneth Walker III, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Quarterback Payton Thorne completed 15 of his 22 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and he also ran for a touchdown.

Defensively, the Spartans were led by linebacker Cal Haladay, who had 10 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Defensive end Jacub Panasiuk also had a strong game, with 7 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

With the win, Michigan State is now 10-0 for the first time since 2015. The Spartans are also bowl eligible for the 10th consecutive season.

Next up, Michigan State will travel to Happy Valley to take on the No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
